Face Painting
Let me come and provide adorable adornments for your little ones. Designs range from tiny figures for little cheeks or hands to full faces that can take some time. All my paints are non-toxic, child-safe, and water-soluble. Girls will love being transformed into butterflies, flowers, and princesses. Boys will love being morphed into their favorite superhero or pirate captain. Face paint can be accessorized with glitter and lip gloss for pretty sparkle. I also have designs that older children and older children-at-heart will enjoy too, including kanji and henna-type patterns.
See the gallery for pictures of my work.
Costumes
I can come to your event fully costumed. I have several costumes, including pirate, fairy, rennaissance maiden, and kid-friendly clown. If you have a request for another costume, feel free to ask! I can probably come up with something.
Other Events
I'm available to paint at any kind of gathering, including school events, office parties, and outdoor festivals.
Service Area
I'm based in Pleasant Hill, CA, and I am able to travel anywhere in the East Bay and most of the rest of the Bay Area. Please contact me for a rate quote for your area.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will you need anything from me?
I will need a table and a place to sit. Picnic or patio tables work fine. I will also need a place to park if parking is limited.
What brand of paint do you use? How easily does it come off?
My kit contains a mix of Kryolan Aquacolors and Wolf Brothers face paint. All my paints are water soluble and will come off with soap and water. I recommend wetting a towel (or even a paper towel), rubbing it in plain hand soap (a bar of soap works great), and rubbing the painted area with a circular motion. A paper towel is good because the paint may stain a cloth towel. Paint will also come off hassle-free in a bath or shower with a little scrubbing.
Can you dress up as this character?
If you have a request for a special costume or character, just ask! Chances are I will be able to come up with something. (My rate may change depending on costuming requirements.)
How long does painting one face take?
When I'm painting at a fair where people wait in line to be painted, doing hand or cheek art usually takes less than five minutes. However, for a small kids' party with lots of time and a small number of faces to be painted, I like to take my time and let the kids enjoy being painted. Painting this way usually takes about 5-10 minutes per child, with larger designs taking a little longer.
